Who heals the healers? In this intentional, heart-centered session, Richard D. Smith invites organizers, practitioners, and directly impacted leaders to return to themselves. Through storytelling, movement, and reflective journaling, participants will explore radical joy, community accountability, and sustainable healing. The session culminates in the co-creation of personalized wellness plans to support ongoing liberation work.

Richard D. Smith, MSW is co-founder of Healing the Healers, a framework rooted in the Black feminist and healing justice legacies of Audre Lorde, Ella Baker, and Harriet Tubman. A licensed social worker and survivor of incarceration, Richard facilitates healing spaces globally, including the International Healing the Healers Retreat in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. His practice spans 20+ years in movement work, clinical healing, and restorative culture building.
