This timely and thought-provoking session offers a deep dive into the intersection of education, leadership, and reentry. In the tradition of Frederick Douglass, this conversation explores the power of civic engagement and higher learning to transform lives,

communities, and systems. Together, Dr. Binda and Attorney Rollins challenge attendees to imagine a reentry landscape rooted in equity and human dignity.

Dr. Hilary Binda is the Founder and Director of the MyTERN Reentry Education Program at Tufts University’s Tisch College of Civic Life. Her work focuses on co-creating educational pathways for returning citizens while reshaping higher education to be more inclusive and restorative.

​

Rachael Rollins, JD, LLM is the Executive Director of The FORT. She formerly served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts and as the elected District Attorney for Suffolk County, where she led groundbreaking reforms to reduce racial disparities and support trauma-informed justice.
