Growing up amid the Civil Rights Movement in Birmingham—where the 1963 16th Street Baptist Church bombing took the lives of two of her childhood friends—ignited her lifelong dedication to healing justice.
A founding director of Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth (RJOY) and co‑founder of the National Association of Community and Restorative Justice, Davis has been widely honored for her transformative approach, including recognition as a “New Civil Rights Leader of the 21st Century” by the Los Angeles Times.
In this keynote, she will illuminate the paradigm-shifting power of restorative justice—not merely to address harm, but to reimagine how communities relate, heal, and thrive together. Drawing on Indigenous healing, racial equity, and collective care, Dr. Davis guides us toward a justice that restores dignity, fosters accountability, and nurtures communal transformation.
